Rose Black, Executive Director
Born and raised in Price, Utah, Rose received a scholarship to study at the University of Utah. To help with finances and gain clinical experience, she enrolled in a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course. It was this course that helped her realize her passion for working with the elderly. During college, she worked at Legacy House of South Jordan as both a CNA and medication technician. After graduating with a degree in health promotion education, Rose realized that Legacy House had become her second home.
Lorren Mitchell, Marketing Director
A South Jordan native, Lorren has been interested in the medical field since high school. Shortly after completing certifications for a Certified Nursing Assistant and Medical Assistant in 2007, she joined the staff at Legacy House of South Jordan. She was quickly promoted to the position of Resident Care Assistant, Assistant Administrator, and now Marketing Director. Lorren has the natural empathy, personality and professionalism that are essential for her position. She loves spending time with her family. Lorren loves the outdoors, camping, fishing, four-wheeling and is an avid runner.
Kami Palmer, Assistant Administrator
Kami is a Utah native and graduate from Herriman High School. While still in high school, she started at Legacy Retirement Residence as a server. After obtaining her CNA, she transfered to Legacy House of South Jordan. Prior to serving as the Assistant Administrator, Kami also worked as a Med Tech and the Resident Care Assistant. Kami enjoys working at Legacy House because she loves getting to know the residents and listening to their stories. Kami strives everyday, to make the residents smile and to help them however she can.
Chris Hafoka, Administrative Assistant
Chris is a native of Utah and has lived in Sandy and West Jordan most of her life. She graduated from Brighton High School and attended Beauty School right after graduation. She has been a hairstylist for 30 years and started working for Legacy Retirement 20 years ago in the Salon. In 2004, she started working for Legacy House of South Jordan as a stylist. Chris is the proud mother of 2 boys and loves spending time with them. She enjoys being outdoors camping and fishing, but also doing crafts like painting and crocheting. She loves working for Legacy because she feels the residents are her family.
Ashlie Nielsen, RN--Resident Care Coordinator
Ashlie was raised in Riverton, Utah. She attended Riverton High School and went to nursing school at Utah State Eastern in Price. She started at Legacy House of South Jordan in December of 2006 as a CNA and later worked as a Med Tech. While she attended school, Ashlie would commute back back and forth so that she could work weekends and holidays at Legacy House. For Ashlie, Legacy House of South Jordan is home. She values her relationships with our residents and her associates and looks forward to serving them in her position as Resident Care Coordinator.
Rene Diaz, Dining Services Director
Rene was born in Los Angeles and has lived in Utah for 10+ years. He loves Salvadorian food, especially tamales and papusas. In his spare time, he loves spending time with his family and fishing. Rene has worked in the food service industry for over 7 years. He has a passion for food and really enjoys cooking for not only his wife and kids but for our residents. Rene makes it a point to talk with residents during mealtimes. Never afraid of feedback, Rene feels being in-touch with resident food likes and dislikes is key to a successful dining program and happy residents.
Kathleen Beal, Recreation Director
Kathleen was born in Anchorage, Alaska, but has lived in Salt Lake City for over 40 years. Kathleen had the privilege of being at home mom while she raised her 5 children. During that time, she served as the Community Crossing Guard in her neighborhood for 20+ years. She is a very happy grandmother who enjoys dogs and lots of smiles.
Maria Perez, Housekeeping Supervisor
Maria is originally from Mexico, and raised in California. She has worked with Legacy House of South Jordan since 2008. She enjoys working with the elderly because she gets to know so much about their childhood, education, etc.. When she is not at work, Maria is 100% a full-time soccer mom. She enjoys supporting her three children as they play their favorite sport--SOCCER.
Tom Poulsen, Maintenance Director
Born and raised in the Salt Lake Valley, Tom has worked at maintaining housing communities for the past 25 years, many of those years spent working in senior-resident apartments. He joined Legacy House of South Jordan in 2007 and believes that his work is genuinely appreciated. He loves providing quality care for the residents.
